Julia Jarman has written over a hundred books, many of them short stories for children learning to read or write. She has a passion for literature and literacy and travels all over the country encouraging children to read and write. Julia was a teacher at Sharnbrook Upper and Mark Rutherford schools before taking up writing full-time and is currently the patron of Bedford Dyslexia Association.  

Julia was born near Peterborough, Cambridgeshire but has lived in Riseley for 27 years now and raised three children here.

Peter C Smith  has been researching and writing books for more than four decades and his books have been published all over the world in Australia, China, Germany, Italy, Japan, Malta, Sweden, the United States, and Peter has just signed a deal with a Moscow publisher for seven of his books to be published in Russian.  Many of his works are considered to be the definitive publication on their subjects, which include aviation and maritime history, as well as English heritage. 

Peter has lived in Riseley for more than twenty years with his wife Pat.  They are keen walkers and original  members of the P3 group.
