Riseley Recipes has been a great success, not least in that almost £900 has been raised for the Village Hall.

A major thank you to more than 50 villagers who contributed recipes from soups and savouries, through fish, meat, poultry, game and vegetarian, to puddings, cakes and biscuits. Added thanks go to those who prepared samples of their contribution for the tasting session at the Fete, giving an incredible kick-start to sales.

A very special thank you to the anonymous donor who so generously paid for all the printing. This ensured that all the proceeds from sales went to the Village Hall.

So many people have also admired the attractive line drawings in the recipe book. So, thank you to the talented Debbie Abel for adding such vibrant illustrations.

Sometime in a future edition of this newsletter, we hope to provide a summary of 'feedback' from satisfied customers. After all, the real success has been Riseley villagers' involvement in sharing recipes and enjoying the anticipation, preparation, cooking and eating of our favourite recipes.
